Reman or Used Component Warranty - Terms and Conditions

The term "engine" refers to a used engine assembly (including the basic block, cylinder head, and internal components) supplied by Parts and Pros and manufactured by the original manufacturer. All other components are included for convenience only and are not covered under this warranty.

This warranty covers the engine block, cylinder heads, and all internal components. Bolt-on accessories, wiring, and sensors are not covered.

Exclusions: This warranty does not cover attached accessory parts, including but not limited to:

  • Switches, sensors, cables, and electronics
  • Belts, hoses, water pumps, and manifolds
  • Wire harnesses, valve covers, brackets, and flywheels
  • Oil leaks or damage due to non-replaced seals, gaskets, or filters.
  • Speak with a Parts and Pros Specialist to Purchase a Warranty for your Engine or Transmission so you can have a Piece of Mind and Coverage!

Diesel Engines: The warranty does not cover injectors, high-pressure oil pumps, high-pressure fuel injectors, or any other part excluded above.

3/5/7-YEAR / PARTS WARRANTY: TERMS AND CONDITIONS

FOR USED ENGINES

Coverage Information:

Gasoline Engines or Transmissions include Parts & Labor coverage that expire up to 84 months from purchase date or from the milage odometer at time of used engine installation; whichever comes first.

Diesel Truck Engines or Transmissions include a warranty that expire up to 84 months from purchase date or from the milage odometer at time of used engine installation; whichever comes first, and covers parts as explained below.

Limitations

This warranty applies only to the used engine. It does not cover the following:

Repairs or replacements required due to accidents, misuse, or improper maintenance.

Repairs or replacements of any engine item, including but not limited to components of the cooling, fuel, electrical, engine control, and ignition systems, as well as belts, hoses, and filters.

Engines used for competition racing or related purposes.

Engines that have been repaired, remodeled, or modified with devices or accessories not conforming to the original manufacturer’s specifications.

Engines damaged due to overheating or lack of lubrication. The warranty will be void if the engine is returned with missing or melted heat tabs (heat tabs melt at 260 degrees Fahrenheit or above).

Initial installation costs or labor charges.

Any repairs not authorized by Parts and Pros. Repairs must be approved on a case-by-case basis.

Continued operation of the vehicle after an issue has been identified. This will void the warranty claim.

Owner/User Obligations

Additional Limitations & Owner/User Obligations For This Warranty To Remain In Effect:

To maintain the validity of this warranty, the following requirements must be met:

Oil and Filter Changes:

Maintenance records must be kept from an official service center. Personal maintenance records (e.g., handwritten notes) are not accepted.

Vehicle Gauges and Sensors:

The oil and temperature lights/gauges, as well as the speedometer, must be in proper working order.

Thermostat Replacement:

A new thermostat must be installed at the time of engine installation.

Timing Belt Replacement (if applicable):

A new timing belt must be installed if the engine requires one.

FAILURE TO PERFORM THE ABOVE OPERATIONS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.

Record-Keeping Requirements:

Acceptable maintenance records must be provided in the event of a claim. These records must include:

  • The date of maintenance.
  • The name of the purchaser.
  • The purchaser’s signature.
  • The vehicle identification number (VIN), year, make, and model.
  • The mileage at the time of service.
  • A record of payment and services performed, with a DocuSign checklist that must be signed after all items have been installed.

Records must be electronically generated by a Dealer or Commercial Lubrication Facility. Handwritten records, receipts, or repair orders are not acceptable.

Replacement & Return Policies

WARRANTY REPLACEMENTS:

If a part qualifies for a free replacement under warranty, the following applies:

The part must be made available for pickup within 7 working days of the warranty claim approval.

If the part is not made available within this timeframe, the free warranty replacement will be null and void.

 

RETURNED PARTS (NOT INSTALLED):

If a customer wishes to return a part before installation for any reason, the following applies:

The part must be made available for pickup within 3 working days of the return request.

If the part is not made available within this timeframe, no refund will be issued.

 

TRANSFERABILITY:

This product warranty is not transferable to another purchaser or another engine.

 

Shipping & Handling

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Parts and Pros is not responsible for improper installation or labor charges.

Parts and Pros does not assume costs related to towing, shipping, transportation, or car rentals.

SHIPPING DETAILS:

Orders typically ship within 7-10 business days.

Shipping is free within the all 48 continental US states. A $150 Residential Delivery Fee applies for home deliveries (includes liftgate). If unloading assistance is needed at a commercial location, a $75 Liftgate Fee is required.

Shipping charges to Alaska and Hawaii are non-refundable.

PART CONDITION & INSPECTION:

While Parts and Pros makes every effort to ensure parts are in good condition before shipping, the warranty does not cover the appearance of the part.

PART FIT GUARANTEE:

OEM auto parts are interchangeable across multiple years, makes, and models, as determined by OEM standards. Parts and Pros guarantees that the part sold will fit your vehicle.

DEPOSITS & REFUNDS:

All deposits are non-refundable.

Engines returned not in the same assembled condition as received will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Disassembling the engine in any way without Parts and Pros express written authorization will void the warranty.

CORE FEES:

If a core fee was charged, the core must be returned within 30 days. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the core back.

SHIPPING DAMAGE OR BROKEN ITEMS:

Shipping damage or broken items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. This is the deadline to file a freight claim. Failure to report within this timeframe will result in no refunds.

WARRANTY CLAIM REQUIREMENTS:

Once a warranty claim is initiated, the customer must submit all requested details through the Customer Warranty Portal within 5 business days. Failure to do so will void the warranty.
